STUD WELDING MACHINES

HBS is the world leader in Stud Welding technology. HBS is renowned for their innovations in the field of Stud & fastners technology, thanks to their extensive Research and development activities in Germany.

Stud welding is the process by which threaded studs, pins, tapped pads; clips etc. are welded by an arc without any other additional material.

Stud Welding is classified into following categories:

  • Capacitor Discharge (CD) Stud Welding with tip ignition - suited for welding on thin plates to a minimum thickness of 0.5 mm. CD process welds on Mild steel, Stainless steel, Brass and Aluminum materials. Welding stud dia. range : M 3 –M 8 (M 10)
  • Drawn Arc (DA) stud Welding is especially suited for welding on thicker plates of thickness 2mm and above. Drawn arc stud welding uses either ceramic ferrule or shielding gas to protect the weld region from atmospheric contamination. HBS manufacturers DA machines in Transformer and inverter models.
